In December 2021, after a few years of composing and recording with overly complicated setups, I challenged myself to pare things down and to write and record some music with a minimal set of tools. While on a short trip to the woods of central Wisconsin, I improvised the music on this album utilizing a Buchla Music Easel, an acoustic guitar, an ebow, a delay pedal, and a field recorder. Some editing and tinkering occurred in post but the majority of the sounds were captured in an uncomplicated and ultimately freeing manner. Much thanks and gratitude to the Full Spectrum team for putting out this release (and wonderful art in general)!
