by Justin Houser & Noah Alonzo

here's a special Llano Disc, a live recording from a collaborative performance between Justin Houser and Noah Alonzo commissioned as part of Indexical's Collocation series, recorded at CO-OPt Research + Projects.

It was a brutally hot evening in the summer, nearly 100 degrees in the gallery, the A/C fan burnt out so Eric went back to the farm to pick up a swamp cooler to run between sessions. I fanned the computer that we were using the stream with my hat to try to keep it from overheating. We got through most of the performance, but eventually the computer melted out.

Justin's sparse and crunchy processed trumpet gives way to Noah's lush tape loops. A short but dense journey.
