Full Spectrum Records kicks off the new year with a fresh edition featuring label curator Andrew Weathers and his friend, long-time collaborator, and stalwart drone wizard, Seth Chrisman. Put Your Face In The River marks the duo’s fourth collaboration, following on from 2017’s Ogallala release for our Editions Littlefield sub-label.
Recorded on tour over the course of 2017 and 2018 at venues throughout upstate New York and New England – including Franconia State Park, Bard College, Washington Street Art Center in Somerville, MA, Autumn Records in Winooski, VT, and others – the music on display comprise an immensely varied and densely textured kaleidoscope of sound that is steeped in the duo’s individual approaches to creative practice and performance.
From subtle location recordings to blackened death blues and downy woolen ambience, Put Your Face In The River is a stunning document of two friends and fellow sonic explorers perfectly in sync with one another, creating strikingly beautiful sounds in moments of pure connection – an auspicious statement of intent for what is shaping up to be a banner year for Full Spectrum and our community of artists.

This is the album that has gotten me through the pandemic. It has provided peace when peace was nowhere else to be found. It has provided joy when joy was elusive. It has inspired gratitude when darkness and cynicism have crept in. Thank you Andrew. Woven Antelope
